Ethnic Parent Source journal is an inclusive community created for minority parents to share parenting tips, worries, solutions, etc. It would serve as a free resource for minority parents, especially immigrant families to connect with each other in a supportive cultural common environment to assist each other with child rearing and the care of children as well as household issues. Organizations and entities that provide services to immigrant families could also benefit by using ethnic parent source as a resource to gather valuable information about the population they serve. As a result of an interview with 150 minority and parents of mixed race kids, it’s clear that ethnic minority groups need a forum in which they can freely seek tips from other parents. Topics can range from education/childcare, sports leagues, home management, erosion of family values, making ends meet, risks from drugs and alcohol, pediatricians, attitudes about disciplining in a multi-cultural environment to juggling work and family. .
